Pablo grew up in the small town of San Juanico, Michoacán in the south of Mexico. Martha grew up in Vancouver, Washington in the USA. They met in 1983 in between those two points; in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico while Martha was serving on a summer mission! By the end of the summer they knew that God was calling them to serve Him together in Mexico.

In December 1984 they were married and in September 1986 Pablo began formal Bible training at the Tecate Bible Institute in Mexico. It was a three-year program and during those years Martha worked to put him through school. They were in leadership in a local Mexican church on the weekends. Pablo graduated in June 1989 with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and did his internship with Agua Viva Ministries at their ministry base in Ensenada. After completing his internship, both continued serving full time there for thirteen years.

In 2003 they transitioned from their positions at the Agua Viva base ministry, to being field missionaries at the local church "La Gran Comisión." Pablo and Martha continue to serve with the church in Ensenada as missionaries with Link International Ministries supporting Pastor Ruben in all that needs to be done!

They have two grown children, Benjamin, who is married to Jeanelle and has a beautiful daughter, Mischa and works as a plumber in San Diego. Their younger son Jacob is studying and working in Reno, Nevada.

They praise God for the work He has done in and through their lives and are so privileged to be a part of His team serving in Mexico!
