Reid and Anne Murphy grew up in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. They met through Youth for Christ while in high school and married in 1977. Their ministry focus was on high school students and thus spent one week of their honeymoon taking 60 high-schoolers on a Campus Life trip to Big Sky, Montana. It was the start of a busy life.

In the early 1980's Reid started taking groups of Youth for Christ kids to Agua Viva and it was during that time he met Pablo and Martha. Anne was introduced a few years later and a friendship of mutual love and respect grew quickly between the two couples.

Reid owns a commercial construction company, is involved with several Christian boards, and loves to fish, hunt and play with his family. Anne is a stay at home mom, is involved in the local Christian school and their church. She enjoys fishing, golfing and being with her family.

Ensenada has become the Murphy's second home. They have invested their hearts, time and skills in the community and feel very connected. They are blessed beyond measure by God, their friends in Ensenada and count it a privilege to be a part of the Lord's ministry at La Gran Comisión.
