I was born and raised in Reno Nevada. I started as a meat cutter at a local supermarket while I attended UNR, then went on to become a firefighter where I've been for 21yrs.

I married Nita, a local girl raised in Sparks Nevada. We have been married 25yrs. She is a Cake Decorator in a bakery of a local supermarket and has been there around 30 years. We have two grown daughters, Sammy Jo who is a nurse and Sarah Ann who is a student at UNR.

Our family has been attending Reno Christian Fellowship since about 1993. My first trip down to Mexico and Rancho Agua Viva was in '94. We have been very active in Reno Christian Fellowship, having been a part of cooking for the singles group, teaching kids Sunday school, counselors at summer kids camps, VBS, high school and jr. high groups, small group and discipleship classes, several mission trips as coordinators and participants, part of the missions advisory board at RCF, have coordinated the building of a church building on a local Indian reservation, coordinated homeless outreaches in downtown Reno and even musicals.

I am currently serving on the Elders Board at RCF and have been for about 5-6yrs. We have been blessed being very active as individuals and as a family over the years.I have been to Mexico many times with youth mission trips, and then organizing and leading family and multigenerational trips each coordinating several different ministries within it, including women's, men's, teens and kids, medical, prison, musical, and several building projects from houses to churches.

I love Mexico as well as the people of Mexico and find it incredibly rewarding each and every time I go. I have known Pablo, Martha, Benjamin and Jacob since '94 on my first trip and have been friends ever since as well as served with them on most trips.
